“Adulting” isn’t easy, especially in a fast-paced city. Whether you're experiencing a breakup, facing challenges with friends, or dealing with the everyday stresses of life, Sari believes therapy can serve as a guiding tool to help you navigate life. She works with her clients to examine their thoughts and feelings and how they play a role in their lives and choices, and offers tools and strategies during sessions that can help her clients feel empowered instead of overwhelmed or defeated by their current challenges.
One of Sari’s core beliefs is that everyone can benefit from therapy and while it may feel daunting to start, it’s a worthwhile commitment. Clients have shared that after leaving a session with Sari, they feel more prepared and confident to take on whatever has been weighing them down. They note that her apparent empathy and compassion for her clients makes them feel like she really cares.
Taking a strengths-based approach, Sari works with clients to help uncover those innate tools and apply them to everyday life. She understands that they are coming to her with an abundance of knowledge and tools although they may not be aware of them just yet.
Sari has a diverse clinical background having worked with clients dealing with low self-esteem, trauma, interpersonal issues, and familial conflict. It is important to her that clients feel as though they are not being judged and no topic is off limits. We all at some point have put up walls and created our own coping mechanisms that feel comfortable to us, but are often a barrier to success.
She uses a variety of modalities to create a unique treatment plan for each client in helping them to achieve their goals. In sessions, clients will work to understand how their thoughts influence their emotions, which in turn impacts their actions. Sari works closely with her clients in exploring how their negative self-talk can be limiting them from reaching their goals.
Clients leave sessions feeling empowered and with strategies to tackle any challenges that may arise in between appointments.
