You Show Up for Everyone Else—Now It's Time to Show Up for You.
You’re running on fumes, and coffee isn’t cutting it anymore (not to mention it’s probably cold by the time you get to it). Between worrying about your baby, keeping up with housework, and making sure everyone else is taken care of, it feels like there’s no time left for you. Forget a long shower—when was the last time you even thought about your own well-being? You just wish someone truly got it, someone you could talk to who understands what you’re going through.
Maybe you’re just trying to keep it together, but managing your emotions feels like an uphill battle. You don’t want to add to your child’s chaos, but sometimes it just happens. You’re touched out, overstimulated, and barely have a second to think clearly after being “on” all day with your little ones. It’s not just the day-to-day tasks, it’s the expectations, the pressure to be the “perfect” mom who always has it under control. Especially when TikTok and Instagram make it look so effortless. You want to stay grounded while raising your child, but figuring out where to even start feels overwhelming.
No one warns you how hard it can be to find mom friends until you’re in it. You show up at the park or story time, but it feels like you don’t quite fit in with the other moms. And catching up with your pre-baby friends? Feels nearly impossible. The you they know isn’t exactly the you that exists now. Your identity has shifted, your priorities have changed, and honestly, your social life has taken a backseat. It’s lonely—even with constant interaction. Because as much as you adore chatting with your kid, sometimes you just need real adult conversation. You need people who understand what it’s like to love your child fiercely, but also crave time for yourself.
That’s where New Mothers Group Therapy comes in. It’s a space where you don’t have to explain yourself. Where every mom in the room understands the exhaustion, the overwhelm, and the mixed emotions that come with this season of life. A place where you can be honest about the highs and lows of motherhood without worrying about judgment. Because here, you don’t have to have it all figured out. This isn’t just another parenting group focused on milestones and sleep schedules. It’s about you. Your needs, your emotions, and your well-being. You deserve support, connection, and the chance to show up for yourself the way you show up for everyone else.
You feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the mental load of motherhood, struggling to balance it all.
Motherhood comes with a mix of emotions. Some you expected, and others you didn’t. One moment, you feel like you’ve got this, and the next, you’re overwhelmed by exhaustion, self-doubt, or the pressure to do it all. This group is here to help you navigate those ups and downs with real support and strategies you can actually use. Through structured discussions and clinically backed techniques like CBT and DBT, you’ll gain tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and handle the mental load of motherhood in a way that feels sustainable. But it’s not just about coping, it’s about confidence. Each session gives you space to process the changes in your identity, work through feelings of uncertainty, and reconnect with yourself outside of just being “mom.” You’ll find reassurance in knowing you’re not alone, build a support system of women who understand, and walk away feeling more grounded in yourself and your role as a mother.
At Manhattan Wellness, we know that motherhood is a constant balancing act—caring for your child while also figuring out how to care for yourself.
That’s why New Mothers Group Therapy is designed to be more than just another place to talk. It’s a space where you can step away from the pressure, process what you’re feeling, and gain real strategies to support your well-being. Whether you’re struggling with the emotional load of parenting, adjusting to this new phase of life, or just trying to feel like yourself again, this group offers the tools and support to help.
With a mix of clinically guided discussions, structured dialogue, and shared experiences, each session helps you build confidence, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of self. We integrate CBT, DBT, IFS, and EFT techniques to provide practical coping mechanisms and psychoeducation on identity, parenting, and mental wellness. You’ll leave feeling more prepared to manage stress, set boundaries, and find moments of joy in your daily life—because your well-being matters just as much as your child’s.
Our New Mother's Group Therapy sessions are designed with you in mind. We meet online every Wednesday from 7:45 PM to 8:45 PM EST, so you can join from the comfort of home—no need to leave your little one after bedtime. Or, if you’re having one of those no-sleep days, you can bring your baby along without worrying about having everything perfectly settled. This group is designed to fit into the reality of new motherhood—messy, unpredictable, and all. We get that life happens, but showing up for yourself matters. This is a space where you can share the highs, the lows, and everything in between with women who truly understand. The support you build here doesn’t just last for an hour each week—it carries over into the rest of your life. With an intimate group, you’ll have plenty of space to speak openly, connect deeply, and ask the questions you might not feel comfortable bringing up anywhere else.
Led by a specialized group therapist, these sessions combine peer support with expert guidance to help you navigate postpartum changes, manage stress and anxiety, and find balance in this new phase of life. More than just a place to vent, this is a space where you can develop real coping strategies, gain insight into your emotions, and feel supported as you rediscover your sense of self. Join us to connect, learn, and feel truly heard in a space created just for you. You deserve a place where you can be honest about what you’re feeling, find support when you need it, and feel confident as you adjust to this new chapter.
