all about rachel

Rachel specializes in working with individuals, couples and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of trauma. Using a trauma-informed lens and evidence-based modalities such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), she helps clients process difficult experiences while building clarity, resilience, and forward momentum. She works with clients facing changes of all kinds. Whether entering adulthood, shifting careers, navigating pregnancy or postpartum adjustment, experiencing relationship transitions, or redefining their sense of identity, Rachel will be there to support her clients every step of the way.

In session, a client can expect to do the necessary soul-searching to find meaning in their life with guided open-ended questions from Rachel. She works alongside clients who feel lonely, lost, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their next chapter, helping them transform periods of change into growth and new beginnings.

Through extensive career work in interpersonal dynamics, behavioral challenges, parent separation, and bereavement, Rachel brings both skill and genuine passion to her work. She supports both individual clients and couples in strengthening communication, deepening understanding, and creating healthier patterns—especially during seasons that challenge identity, stability, and connection.

how she works

In working with Rachel clients can expect to reconnect with what they truly value, allowing themselves to feel more aligned and confident in the direction of their lives. When it comes to self-improvement, Rachel often says, “The goal is not to be better than another person, but to be better than your current self.”

As a former clinician at CarePlus in an outpatient program, Rachel worked with a wide range of mental health challenges, including bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. Combined with her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, this experience allows her to provide grounded, compassionate, and structured support that leaves clients feeling reassured, empowered, and capable both in and out of session.

Whether navigating adulthood, parenthood, partnership shifts, or professional changes, Rachel helps clients build the tools needed to strengthen self-trust, improve relationships, and affirm positive beliefs about themselves, their talents, their careers, and their partnerships.

Kind WORDS FROM HER CLIENTS

i started therapy with rachel at a pivotal moment in my life

With her help, I have been able to become more aware of negative self-talk, labeling, and patterns of thought that I otherwise would not have realized. Most importantly, I've seen notable progress in my overall mental health, where I am no longer convinced that my depression will be something that sticks with me for the rest of my life.

rachel is so real and honest

She acknowledges a tough question but asks it anyway because it will only help me. Rachel has an amazing ability to ask me questions that really get me thinking. She is also such an incredible motivator, that her positive words have encouraged me to enact changes in my life that have improved my work/life balance, self-discovery, and relationships.
