Jacquelyn provides a supportive environment for clients to feel motivated to invest in themselves. For clients who are new to therapy, or are just feeling anxiety or uncertainty about starting therapy, Jacquelyn creates a space that feels comfortable, manageable, and uniquely theirs. For Jacquelyn, creating an environment where clients feel heard and emotionally safe is essential to building a strong therapeutic relationship. Using a client-centered approach, she collaborates with clients to establish an individualized plan for overcoming personal challenges. 

Clients describe Jacquelyn as an open-minded, empathetic, sensitive, and highly attuned therapist. She is committed to her clients, embracing the process of self-exploration and believing in everyone’s capacity for change. 

As a therapist, Jacquelyn’s ongoing goal is to deeply understand her clients and what they are going through, working to create an atmosphere where they feel truly acknowledged and seen. In her work, clients are able to identify and harness their own strengths, while also fostering greater self-acceptance, value, and resilience.

Jacquelyn believes that understanding our past experiences can provide valuable insight into our current reality and thought processes. By gaining awareness and uncovering different aspects of ourselves, clients can feel more in control, motivated to problem-solve, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

To build self-understanding and achieve therapeutic goals, Jacquelyn helps her clients gain insight into the underlying causes of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Jacquelyn processes clients’ feelings and emotions with them, both past and present, while providing tools and strategies for clients to access in the moment.

Jacquelyn has expertise in supporting individuals in navigating the complex challenges of adulthood and understands each person's unique journey to self discovery. She has helped clients navigate anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, poor body image, grief and loss, complex trauma, interpersonal conflicts in addition to those experiencing deep historic emotional pain and crisis. 

Her therapeutic style draws from multiple approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and relational theory. Jacquelyn sees each client as a unique individual and always tailors treatment to align with their goals and circumstances.
