"Healing is not so much a chapter in your story but changing the way you write the entire book."

ASSOCIATE THERAPIST

all about alyssa

Alyssa believes there is no rulebook for navigating life and that healing is a unique process for each person. She brings warmth, honesty, and a sense of humor to her work, helping clients feel comfortable exploring the parts of their lives that can be difficult to share.

Alyssa utilizes a holistic approach, viewing mental, physical, and emotional well-being as deeply interconnected. She approaches therapy as a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect, cultivating an environment where clients feel both seen and gently challenged.

Her work is grounded in a relational, trauma-informed perspective. She helps clients understand how early experiences and relationships shape present-day patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating, creating space for new ways of engaging with themselves and others.

Alyssa’s early career in fashion and marketing shapes her understanding of the pressures young professionals face in fast-paced, demanding environments. She brings this insight into therapy to help clients reconnect with themselves while navigating life’s demands with intention and clarity.

how she works

Alyssa’s therapeutic style is collaborative, individualized, and rooted in authenticity. She prioritizes building a genuine connection and believes that meaningful change happens when clients feel seen, understood, and safe within the therapeutic relationship.

Alyssa integrates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and attachment-based, trauma-informed practices. She often incorporates a mind-body lens, helping clients notice how emotions are experienced physically and guiding them toward more supportive ways of responding.

Alyssa is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses this approach to help clients process experiences that may feel stuck or unresolved. EMDR allows clients to reprocess difficult memories and beliefs, creating space to experience the present differently, shift unhelpful patterns, and respond to life with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion. Mindfulness and somatic techniques are woven into sessions alongside EMDR to help clients stay grounded, regulated, and connected to themselves throughout the process.

Through this work, Alyssa helps clients build self-trust, gain insight into how the past shapes the present, and identify patterns that no longer serve them. Clients often find that as the work deepens, they begin to notice shifts in perspective and lasting change that feels aligned, intentional, and empowering.

I love being by the beach in every and any season. The ocean always helps me relax, reset, and clear my mind.

Where is your happy place?

Definitely teleportation, I love to travel and see new places

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Starting my mornings with movement always helps me get into a positive mindset to take on the day. I love doing either a yoga/pilates class (big fan of Melissa Wood Health workouts) or a walk on Westside Highway with a podcast and a cup of coffee.

Morning routine

Slowing down and paying attention to what I'm feeling in my body helps me decide what I need the most in that moment to de-stress. When I feel like I need to get some anxious energy out I love to do yoga or go for a run. When I feel tired and low-energy I like to light a candle, put on a face mask, and journal or do something creative.

What do you do to de-stress?

Organizing my to-do list, setting goals for the upcoming week, and acknowledging happy moments from the past week and things I'm looking forward to in the upcoming week.

How do you set yourself up for a successful week?

South of France

Favorite place you have traveled

Yoga and Pilates, Gratitude journal, Reading in coffee shops, Spending time by the water, Park picnics and long walks with friends

Working with Alyssa was my first time going to recurring therapy for a prolonged period of time and I came out better on the other end.
