"You deserve a space where you can be honest about what you’re going through, feel understood without judgment, and work toward the changes you want to see in your life."
Lila believes therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are, without feeling like you have to perform, have everything figured out, or say the “right” thing. She brings empathy, warmth, relatability, and humor into the therapy room, creating an environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. Lila understands that opening up and making changes can feel overwhelming, and she meets each client with patience, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental approach.
Lila believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth. Her style is collaborative, supportive, and authentic, and she wants clients to feel that she genuinely understands them and what they are experiencing. Lila recognizes that there is no single way to move through therapy and works with each client at a pace that feels comfortable for them. While Lila prioritizes listening and validation, she also gently challenges clients when appropriate, helping them recognize patterns, consider new perspectives, and move toward the changes they want to make.
Through her work at Manhattan Wellness and in an inpatient psychiatric setting at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Lila supports individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and other complex mental health challenges. Her extensive experience across both hospital and outpatient settings has strengthened her ability to connect with people during difficult and vulnerable moments. It has also shaped her belief in the importance of looking beyond a diagnosis or presenting concern to understand the whole person.
Lila’s approach to therapy is collaborative, individualized, and goal-oriented. She works with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, Lila and her clients explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns while identifying meaningful goals and working through barriers that may be getting in the way.
Lila draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring her approach to the needs of each client. Her work includes challenging unhelpful thought patterns, developing coping and emotion-regulation skills, increasing self-awareness, exploring motivation for change, and setting achievable goals. She believes therapy can offer both space for deeper reflection and practical tools clients can carry with them outside of sessions.
Whether a client comes in knowing exactly what they want to work on or is still figuring that out, Lila wants them to leave feeling heard, supported, and more equipped to navigate what they are facing. Most importantly, she hopes clients feel they have a space where they can be fully themselves while taking steps toward a life they truly love.
